#Hakkunde: Lessons for the Nigerian Youths and Government


Unemployment rate in Nigeria rised to 14.2% in last quarter of 2016 from the 10.4% a year earlier. A large proportion of youths & graduates are unemployed, this affecting national development. 

Then comes Hakkunde, an intriguing & emotional story of a young graduate who’s tackling discrimination, drug abuse, and tradition/cultural misconceptions, on his journey to self-discovery and actualization.

#HakkundeTheMovie shows Kunle Idowu (pka as Frank Donga) act as ‘hakkunde‘, highlighting true love, steadfastness, the gains of harnessing opportunities.

Hakkunde the Inspirational drama-comedy, features Kunle Idowu (Frank Donga), Rahama Sadau, Toyin Abraham, Ali Nuhu, Alhaji Isa Bello, and many more.

The film was produced & directed by Asurf Oluseyi

Asurf Oluseyi, an award-winning filmmaker, learnt his trade watching YouTube videos and practicing with training manuals. He was featured on Google African Connected Campaign which run across Africa and CNN respectively as an inspiration to young Africans taking advantage of internet in learning their skills and building careers for themselves.

He has trained over 20 individuals on the “Art of Filmaking and Editing” and has successfully build one of the biggest independent production house in Nigeria, “Asurf Films”.

He has produced and directed hundreds of short comedy skits, adverts, documentaries and concerts both in UK, USA and Nigeria, with credits for contents on local and cable TV channels with Awards to his work.

His debut feature film ‘hakkunde‘ is a must-watch!
It mirrors the current challenges faced by many Nigerian youths.
